A Letter to the ZTE Family — Come Home, Then Set Off Together
ZTEIST is a non-profit, volunteer-run community for everyone who has been part of ZTE. The name says it all: “ZTE” plus the suffix “-ist” — “a ZTE person”.
Welcome home.
Whenever you left ZTE and wherever life has taken you, the bond of having once been part of ZTE is the common thread woven through all of us — the professional rigor, the way of getting things done, and the unspoken understanding forged in the same culture. This is the most precious foundation of our community.
We are more than a community built on nostalgia. Many alumni groups live in the past — sharing memories, reconnecting, catching up now and then. That is wonderful, but it is not enough. What we want is to make “coming home” a new beginning, not an ending.
We believe that everyone who has come out of ZTE holds a key — technical ability, management experience, industry insight, or the resources and judgment earned through years of hard work. What we do is bring all those keys to the same table, so each one finds the lock it was meant to open.
There are no spectator seats here. Everyone who walks in is a builder. Founders, investors, leaders at major companies, and those still searching for their direction — there are no bystanders here. We don’t do hollow networking or icebreakers that lead nowhere. We do one thing: make sure every member’s value is seen, needed, and amplified by the rest.
“Create together, win together, achieve together” is not a slogan — it is the rule.

What We Do
ZTEIST is about more than “knowing people” — it’s about putting every key to work in real scenarios:
- Reconnect — find long-lost colleagues
- Match — supply/demand, jobs, and projects, on the same table
- Go global — Chinese enterprises expanding overseas, with localization and subcontracting from local friends
- Overseas career referrals — a two-way bridge: Chinese enterprises hire locally, overseas friends find jobs (referrals, not direct hiring)
- Source & vet — overseas friends sourcing from China, or vetting suppliers
- Network & partner — cross-country networking and business matchmaking for overseas friends
